This assessment is centered on a key Organizational Development (OD) area: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). It consists of four sections:

Institutional Readiness
M&E Design
M&E Implementation
M&E Insights

Each section contains 4 to 5 questions, and the overall assessment can be completed in about 10 to 15 minutes. Upon completion, your organization will receive:

A maturity rating, both at the overall OD level and for each individual section.
Tailored capacity building recommendations to help you improve your maturity level.

Who is this assessment for?

The assessments diagnose the maturity of the organization, not the individual.

This assessment must ideally be taken by the person accountable for (or managing) M&E in your organization. This could be a founder or any senior member of the team. The assumption is that this individual is best placed to answer the assessment questions as accurately as possible from an organizational perspective.

If no such person exists in the organization, we recommend that a senior leader from the programs team or a decision-maker take this assessment.

Why should you take the assessment?

Assessments are a great way to start (or structure) your organization’s capacity building journey. Your organization can benefit from assessments in the following ways:

Understand your organization’s current maturity level and identify improvement areas.
Receive detailed capacity building recommendations – on or beyond IPN – based on the assessment ratings.

NOTE: Your organization's ratings will NOT be shared with any third party. The only purpose of the organisation-specific rating is to provide you with capacity-building recommendations. (Aggregated data across all organisations may be used to analyse and report on trends.)
