Across the social sector, there is growing interest in using AI and WhatsApp chatbots to improve outreach, service delivery, and engagement. However, many NGOs struggle to move from ideas to real-world impact due to limited resources, time constraints, or lack of clarity on where to begin.

The Glific AI Chatbot Accelerator is designed to bridge this gap. It is a selective, funded, 6-month program launching in April 2026 that supports NGOs—both new and existing Glific users—to design, build, pilot, and launch AI-powered WhatsApp chatbots for meaningful, on-ground impact.

Program Overview

Duration: 6 months (April 2026 to October 2026)
Cohort Size: 30 NGOs (15 New Glific users and 15 Existing users)
Format: Mix of in-person workshops, online sessions, mentoring, and peer learning
Cohort Fee: ₹30,000 for which NGOs receive ₹2,50,000+ worth of tools & support which includes:
- 2-in-person workshop: Stay and food fully covered
- Platform & Setup: Glific Platform fee for 6 months (₹57000) with a mid point checkin + one-time setup fee(₹15,000) waived
- Messaging & AI Credits: USD 100 WhatsApp messaging credits + USD 200 OpenAI Credits
- Expert Mentorship: 1:1 mentoring, usecase scoping & pilot planning, chatbot reviews, LLM integration & guidance for safe AI adaption
- Cohort Learning: Webinars & Workshops, weekly sessions & peer learning
- Performance Grants: Performance-based grants for the top 3 performing NGO.

At the end of the program, three NGOs will receive performance-based grants:

2 organisations: ₹25,000 each
1 organisation: ₹50,000

Who Should Apply

This program is best suited for NGOs that:

Have a clear role for technology in their organisational roadmap, with leadership buy-in
Have at least one AI use case they want to test on WhatsApp
Can assign a dedicated team member who can spend 5–6 hours per week over 6 months
Have an annual budget of ₹2.8 lakh or more and can cover the ₹30,000 cohort fee

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on:

Clarity of use case and intent
Organisational readiness and team capacity
Willingness to engage consistently throughout the program
Responsiveness during the application and onboarding process

Application Process

Step 1 (Submit Application): NGOs submit an application form along with a short survey to help us understand organisational context, readiness, and intended use case.
Step 2 (Review & Conversations): Shortlisted NGOs will be invited for one or more conversations with the team to discuss needs, expectations, and fit for the program.
Step 3 (Eligibility & Next Steps): Eligible NGOs are informed via email and guided through the next steps in the process.
Step 4 (Onboarding & Learning Phase): Eligible NGOs complete structured onboarding, including self-learning and optional live sessions, and build two basic chatbot flows.
Step 5 (Final Selection): Submitted flows are reviewed in 1:1 discussions. Final cohort selection is based on quality of work, responsiveness, and intent.
